Terms of Service

Last updated: August 5, 2026

1. Who you are contracting with

RaceLume is operated by Martin Künstling, Menckestraße 39, 04155 Leipzig, Germany (“RaceLume”, “we”). By using RaceLume you enter into an agreement with Martin Künstling.

Contact: hello@racelume.com

2. Acceptance

By continuing to use RaceLume, creating an account or purchasing the Organizer Pass you agree to these terms. If you act on behalf of an organization you confirm that you are authorized to bind it; otherwise you must be of legal age.

3. The service

RaceLume is a browser-based tool that turns running and cycling race results into social media graphics. Result files and images are processed locally in your browser.

The editor can be used without an account and previews carry a watermark. The RaceLume 30-Day Organizer Pass unlocks watermark-free PNG and SVG downloads for 30 consecutive days from the confirmed payment timestamp. It is a one-time payment with no subscription and no automatic renewal.

4. Account and credentials

An account is only required for purchase and download. You must provide accurate information, keep it up to date and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.

5. Licence and restrictions

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use RaceLume within the access you have selected. You may use the graphics you create for your event communication.

You must not reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the service, or circumvent technical limits — including removing watermarks without a valid pass.

6. Acceptable use

You must not misuse RaceLume. In particular, the following are prohibited:

  • unlawful use
  • fraud, spam or deception
  • infringing third-party rights, including copyright, trademark and personality rights
  • interfering with the security of the service (malware, probing, unauthorized scraping)
  • uploading participant data or images without a lawful basis

7. Your content

Result files, logos and photos remain your content. Because processing happens locally in your browser, we acquire no rights in them beyond what is technically necessary to provide the service.

You are responsible for having the necessary rights and lawful basis for the data and images you use.

8. Intellectual property

RaceLume, including its software, design, documentation and branding, remains our intellectual property. No further rights are transferred.

9. Payment, tax and order processing

The RaceLume 30-Day Organizer Pass costs EUR 29 as a one-time payment. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Access lasts 30 days. If another pass is purchased while access is active, 30 days are added to the existing expiry date. If access has expired, the new 30-day period starts when the new payment is successfully confirmed.

Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are additionally governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms.

10. Refunds

Purchases are generally non-refundable unless mandatory law, Paddle's Refund Policy or an additional legally binding right requires otherwise. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected. See our Refund Policy for details.

11. Availability

We aim for reliable operation but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. Maintenance, incidents and changes to the service may occur.

12. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence.

We are liable without limitation for injury to life, body or health.

Mandatory liability under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz) remains unaffected.

For slight negligence we are liable only for the breach of essential contractual obligations, and such liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this contract.

Otherwise liability is excluded only to the extent legally permitted.

Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

13. Responsibility for your content

You remain responsible for the content you upload. Where you publish unlawful content or culpably breach these terms, you are liable for the resulting damage under the applicable statutory rules. No broader blanket indemnity applies.

14. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations.

You may end your account at any time by contacting us. After termination, access to watermark-free downloads ends; files you already exported remain yours.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the service or the legal framework changes. The current version is always available on this page with its date. We will announce material changes in a reasonable manner.

16. Governing law and venue

German law applies. Venue is Leipzig, Germany, to the extent permitted. Mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.

17. Assignment and force majeure

You may not assign this agreement without our consent. We may assign it in connection with a reorganization or acquisition.

We are excused from performance for the duration of events beyond our reasonable control.
